Peer review: Managing dry eye patients - understanding key aspects
This session will include discussions on varying management options for two dry eye disease (DED) cases. The session will foster understanding regarding underlying pathogenic mechanisms behind the DED cases, their associations that manifest with signs and symptoms observed by practitioners during clinical assessments. This will be followed by discussions on evidence-based DED management and troubleshooting. Delegates will also be asked to complete a questionnaire on patterns of dry eye management in clinical practice which will underpin discussions on the role of ocular surface inflammation in dry eye and minimum clinically important differences (MCID) to detect improvement of dry eye signs and symptoms.
