Ultra widefield imaging - friend or foe?

23 Apr 2022
Main Stage

This session will provide an overview of the significant benefits ultra-widefield imaging can bring to diagnosis, monitoring and management planning of many ocular diseases including AMD, diabetic retinopathy, uveitis, retinal detachment and ocular oncology. Although the benefits have greatly improved ophthalmic care for patients it is critical that the limitations and pitfalls of ultra-widefield imaging are known and that its use should be adjunctive to existing diagnostic generic skills rather than solely relying on its strengths.
