Multi-modal retinal imaging 1.0: a beginner's guide

This lecture will provide an opportunity for registrants to understand how the growing use of multi-modal ultra-widefield retinal imaging in daily optometric practice can help them to provide a higher level of patient care and how the additional information provided by ultra-widefield and OCT might influence their clinical decision making.

 

Learning outcomes:

To have a greater understanding of the importance of the significance of peripheral retinal abnormalities and how to manage the patient accordingly

To be able to explain the relevance of the various depth channels (red green) and autofluorescent channel in aiding image interpretation and diagnosis

To be able to describe and explain as well as have the ability to discuss outcomes of image analysis with the patient and relevant other professionals where necessary.
