Peer review: Children's vision unlocked for life
This interactive peer review session will give colleagues the opportunity to discuss the life-changing ways in which our clinical interactions with children and the interventions we offer not only support their ability to see at that moment, but also secures their attainment of the best possible vision for the future.
Learning outcomes:
Practitioners will understand the processes and requirements for obtaining valid consent when dealing with children
Practitioners will be able to communicate appropriate advice to the parents and carers of children they see in practice
Practitioners will have an enhanced understanding of developments in children’s eye care and will understand the requirements and processes of shared care between optometrists, orthoptists and ophthalmologists when dealing with children
Practitioners will have an enhanced understanding the appropriate assessments and examinations in cases of potential binocular vision anomalies in children
