This session will centre around the use of case scenarios, eye images and videos to demonstrate key features in a patient that are relevant to preparing them for cataract surgery and also managing any post-operative symptoms and complications. It will highlight the common and less common signs and symptoms that are relevant to managing patients who undergo cataract surgery well and review the evidence-based approach for each one.
Learning outcomes:
Practitioners will be able to provide advice to patients to help them prepare for cataract surgery
Practitioners will be able aware of post-operative symptoms and complications that can arise following cataract surgery.
