"My window displays are a very important part of my branding. I am known in the area for 'the Optical Boutique with the fabulous windows' They've drawn so much attention that an article in the local press was written about them. They make people cross the road to see them and sometimes they take photos of themselves in front of them. People are watching out to what's going up next! I used to have one window but after moving premises, I now have 4 windows, sometimes they all follow a theme, other times like this months' every window is different. I change them regularly, sometimes once a month, other times 2 or 3 months, but not any longer. Or if I have an event like an eyewear fashion show in collaboration with a local hair salon, then the window will represent that, like my present entry. I was recognized recently for the effort I put into my windows by the local community and won award for the best window dressing. I have also used one of my windows to promote a local business that ties in with one of my products. For example promoting the Maui Jim golf sunglasses with the local golf club, where I had borrowed vintage hickory golf clubs to display, this massively increased my sales Another window once had a French bistro in it. Promoting a French collection and evening eyewear and a draw for a voucher from a local Bistro. As an optician which is more medical and science based. It's the window displays where my creativity is let loose. It's also as I mentioned part of my branding and brings a lot of attention to my business. It's one of my biggest marketing tools. It gives me the opportunity to show off some fabulous eyewear. "
