Oliver Goldsmith® Spectacles has added eight new styles each in four new colourways into its Photograph Collection. Inspired by an old family album the collection is a modern interpretation of Oliver Goldsmith’s iconic, vintage spectacles through the decades. The new additions include six acetate and two metal frames with three of the acetate styles using a fused technique to create unique colourways.

Janet(OLI020), Kristina(OLI019) and Lilly(OLI021) frames have been created using bold, contrasting two-colour fused acetates. Janet is a perfect example of this technique: an iconic shape that flatters the wearer and is timeless but is still modern through the unique use of complementary colours and construction. The frames extolls the three fundamentals of any frame from Oliver Goldsmith spectacles of Quality, Elegance and Comfort.
Janet is constructed from seven separate pieces of acetate that is ultrasonically fused together. The acetate pieces are cut by CNC machines to ensure millimetre precision. For the temples the two contrasting acetates are fused together so the core wire can be inserted.

Other styles in the collection include: Helly(OLI014), a retro-round acetate in tortoiseshell on mother-of-pearl also available in black on white, pale lavender fade and sand fade colour ways; Vim(OLI015), an acetate cat eye available in dark satin blue with satin tortoiseshell temples, satin fawn and green temples, shiny black with a white stripe interior and tortoiseshell with mother-of-pearl interior and Echo(OLI016), a plain acetate with an oblong shape available in satin blue tortoiseshell, storm grey, dark tortoiseshell and shiny taupe. Plus two new metal styles including; Jake a unisex flat-metal and Carol a cateye flat metal.

The Oliver Goldsmith’s family has a long heritage in eyewear starting in 1926 with the late Philip Oliver Goldsmith making frames by hand from a single piece of tortoiseshell. This family of eyewear greats has spanned three generations with the current Oliver having worked in the family business since 1959.

Oliver Goldsmith has gained a cult royal and celebrity iconic following over the years including Audrey Hepburn, John Lennon, Princess Grace of Monaco, Princess Diana, Michael Caine and Peter Sellers.
