SeeAbility is extremely proud to be a charity partner at 100% Optical 2019 and we’re delighted to invite 100% Optical delegates to join us at our fabulous Rockaoke fundraiser on Saturday 12th from 9pm-late at The Fox.
We work closely with eye health and sight loss professionals across the UK to tackle health inequalities in eye care, providing expert information and advice through awareness raising and peer to peer education programmes for people with learning disabilities across the UK.
On the night we’ll share inspirational stories about how good eye care is changing lives, making society more inclusive by helping everyone with learning disabilities achieve their full potential.
You’ll have the chance to win some fantastic prizes in our fundraising game and we’ll also be asking you to challenge your colleagues to entertain us all with their favourite karaoke tunes, backed by a live band.
We all know that good eyesight enables people to learn, communicate and feel more confident. Yet there is a huge gap between the eye care needs of people with learning disabilities and the support available. Adults with learning disabilities are 10 times more likely than other adults to have a serious sight problem, but only 50% have had an eye test in the past two years.
