The UK’s largest optical event, 100% Optical, prepares to wow visitors with its “Best of British” theme, product launches and huge savings for visitors. Over 8,000 expected visitors are promised a prestigious event for the show’s fourth and most fabulous year to date on 4-6 February at London Excel.

There are spectacular fashion shows and dedicated catwalks for sportswear, British heritage and seaside stripe, alongside a wealth of education for the whole practice team and topped off with unlimited networking opportunities and evening entertainment.

There will be 200 exhibitors showcasing their latest products and services, with 75 new brands appearing at the show for the first time, including newcomers Italia Independent, Via Pampa, Kodak Lenses, BiB Ophthalmic Instruments, Cerium Visual Technologies and Optiswiss.

“Best of British” is a key theme to this year’s show and visitors can celebrate by taking a stroll down the entrance tunnel to discover some of the most inspirational and emerging independent brands Britain has to offer.
The world class education programme offers something to inspire the whole practice team with over 115 CET points available. New for 2017, visitors can expect extra discussion-based sessions offering even more CET points combining keynote speakers and interactive workshops to support and inspire the whole team.

The UK’s leading eye research charity and the show’s charity partner, Fight for Sight, will provide talks from industry experts including; Dr Denize Atan, Dr Michael Wormstone and Dr Pearse Keane who are part of the charity’s Speaker Network. The education programme also boasts exceptional seminars from eminent professors, doctors and experts in their field including Professor Ed Mallen, Dr Maggie Woodhouse, Stephen Lash and Allon Barsam.

The most important awards event in the optical calendar, the AOP Awards, will take place in the evening of Sunday 5 February at ExCeL London, giving visitors an opportunity to celebrate with their industry peers and make their visit to the show more rewarding.

Prototypes of the six shortlisted entries from the 100% Optical eyewear design competition in partnership with the Royal College of Art will be on show in the Eyewear hall on stand E100. The judging panel is set to announce the overall winner live at 100% Optical on the Fashion Hub stage.
