100% Optical returns to ExCeL, London for its “fabulous fifth anniversary” and is all set as the place to see and be seen in 2018.

Attracting over 8,000 UK and international visitors, the vibrant must-attend event takes place between 27-29 January in the UK capital and gives manufacturers, distributors and suppliers the perfect platform to launch new products and increase brand awareness within the optical market.

The show’s growing exhibitor line-up includes the likes of LINDBERG, Jaeger and Henry Beaumont, who are just some of the market leaders returning to the show. Exhibitors celebrating their 5th year include William Morris, Shamir, Eyewear Company and Zuma. Exciting debut exhibitors include Von Arkel, Anglo American and Bolon.

Event director Nathan Garnett said, “We are really excited about the fifth 100% Optical. It will feature the biggest line up ever with lots of returning brands and also major new signings.”

As Europe's fastest growing optical event, it’s a must-attend event for exhibitors wanting to expand professional networks and business. 100% Optical is renowned for its buzzing atmosphere and positive visitor experience, created by the bustling exhibition floor, fashion shows, interactive workshops, learning hubs, design competitions and the central bar.

For the first time this year, visitors will be transported forward in time to the Future Practice, giving a glimpse of what’s to come for the optical profession from a clinical, regulatory and professional perspective, and discussing how optics will evolve, trends to look out for, and how the industry can benefit from new technology.

New for 2018 is the Optical Academy providing CET education and workshops for the whole practice including optical assistants, where every member of the team can benefit from the latest education and guidance. This supports the wider education programme, which is designed and delivered by the AOP.

The catwalk also returns with a fresh and exciting new look to showcase the hottest frame fashion styles and latest product innovations for 2018.

Event director Nathan Garnett said, “The wide variety of eyewear and related products on show is second to none, with the ranges on display catering to customers’ ever changing tastes and increasing demand for individual frames.

"It will feature a completely new line up of exciting hubs and theatres to deliver our CET education programme.

"The AOP awards ceremony is returning for its second year and the massively successful Royal College of Art Eyewear competition is also celebrating its fifth birthday, with past winners returning to the show to tell us how their careers have been launched successfully through this collaboration.

"To top it all off, we’ll be celebrating our fabulous fifth anniversary with a party – open to all on Saturday 27th January. So it will be a show full of rewarding business opportunities, networking, inspiration, and celebration… not to be missed!”
