Ocular aberrations have been mainly used for refractive surgery, orthokeratology and irregular cornea clinical management. But they have other applications that will set the future of the optometry. The use of ocular aberrations to optimise the refraction is becoming a reality and to know how they can help us during our clinical practice will be a success key. The objective of this seminar is to surf around the clinical application of ocular aberrometry, mainly the refraction, showing its advantages and disadvantages, based on the scientific evidence published in the literature.
Understand the role of ocular aberrometry for refracting patients
