The UK’s largest optical and audiology event, 100% Optical, has joined forces with the British Academy of Audiology (BAA) as part of a brand new initiative to enhance its Audiology Hub.
100% Optical kick-starts the New Year by opening its doors slightly earlier, between 12-14 January at ExCel London.
The Audiology Hub welcomed support from the BAA to develop its wide-ranging CET programme of sessions, in partnership with the Association of Optometrists (AOP). The seminar programme is tailored to bring a holistic approach to integrating an audiology service into practice and sessions also offer practical guidance on how best to communicate with customers with hearing impairments.
Event director, Nathan Garnett said, “We’ve witnessed an increasing interest from opticians in offering audiology in their practice.
“100% Optical will provide a perfect opportunity to learn more about the operational and regulatory issues of incorporating this sector into the business model of independent opticians.
“Not only will this help build new business opportunities, create a USP for your practice and increase revenue streams, it will also help reduce the risk of current optical customers seeking audiology services and taking their custom elsewhere.”
“100% Optical is definitely the place to be for practice managers looking to integrate audiology services into their optical practice.”
