ZEISS CLARUS™ 500 Ultra-widefield (UWF) system leverages legendary ZEISS precision optics to provide high resolution retinal imaging across the entire retina. CLARUS™ 500 is the first fundus imaging system combining true colour and exceptional clarity within an ultra- wide field of view.
To celebrate the UK launch of the new CLARUS™ 500 Ultra-Widefield (UWF) retinal camera at 100% Optical, ZEISS are pleased to announce a series of 'Meet the Expert' sessions on their stand (M100).
These will be led by US Optometrist Dr Michael Chen, who has extensive experience of using the new CLARUS™ 500 within his own practice. Darren Hargreaves (ZEISS Retinal Imaging Specialist) will also be on-hand to support.
The following sessions will include an overview of UWF imaging, a live demonstration and opportunities for Q & A:
• Saturday 27th January, 12:00 – 12:30 & 16:30 – 17:00
• Sunday 28th January, 11:30 – 12:00 & 14:30 – 15:
• Monday 29th January, 11:30 – 12:00
Visitors are encouraged to register their interest at www.zeiss.co.uk/clarus-meet-the-expert Anyone who registers will also receive a voucher for a free ZEISS goody bag, redeemable at 100% Optical, while stocks last.
CLARUS™ 500 is the first fundus camera that combines true colour with high-resolution clarity down to 7 microns in an Ultra-Widefield view from the macula to the far periphery. The system produces exceptional images in true colour that closely resemble the colour of the retina, as seen through direct observation during clinical examination.
In addition to true colour imaging, CLARUS™ 500 also captures high resolution fundus autofluorescence (FAF) images–FAF-Blue and FAF-Green–and Infrared (IR) and external eye images. What’s more, the ultra-wide image allows for detection of even subtle diseases in the periphery of the retina.
For efficient multi-modality analysis, CLARUS™ integrates with ZEISS FORUM® and Retina Workplace for review with other ophthalmic images and exam data.
ZEISS CLARUS™ 500 has also been purposefully designed to optimize each patient's experience. By bringing the optics to the patient, the system helps create a comfortable patient experience that provides images free of obstructions, such as lids and lashes, and requires fewer recaptures. The live IR preview feature also allows the operator to optimise alignment before capturing an image.
