Smoke x Mirrors- launched in January 2015 and born in SoHo, New York, approaches eyewear as a means of fashion innovation and the brand as an experiment in play. With each pair of frames handcrafted in France, every collection is radically different from the next, maintaining its own unique identity and a commitment to thoughtful, functional, and lasting designs.
Just in time for the holiday season, the brand is releasing their new holiday collection, Where’s Blitzen, Baby?, which in typical Smoke x Mirrors fashion, continues to push the boundaries on the technical and aesthetic level. With its punk rock sensibilities, the 10 piece collection reinterprets five frames from the existing 26-piece core collection in new, unconventional yet festive colorways. The Comic Strip, Zou Bisou, and Run Around Sue frames are dressed in a joyful bold red ultra-lightweight cellulose acetate, accented by hand dyed and polished stainless steel. For a more feminine twist, the Letter and Sugarman frames sparkle in “white scales” acetate, while the Volunteers, Shout, and Zou Bisou frames are reimagined in glistening “black scales.” Each holiday-appropriate pair is truly emblematic of the soulful approach Smoke x Mirrors takes in crafting its timelessly sophisticated and innovative frames.
Coming up on its one year anniversary, Smoke x Mirrors already is distributed globally at some of the finest retailers worldwide, including Barneys New York, Bergdorf Goodman, Alchemist, Harvey Nichols, Browns, and Fivestory. Celebrities like Bella Hadid, Olivia Wilde, Ethan Hawke, and Solange Knowles are known fans of the brands, along with the fashion industry’s elites.
