British lifestyle brand Joules is pleased to announce a new collection of optical frames for Spring Summer 17. Joules is passionate about prints, crazy about colour and dedicated to detail – and all three of these things can clearly be seen in this new collection.
Bold use of colour and pattern blocking gives the acetate ‘LAURA’ style a refined feel. Laminated tortoiseshell combines with frosted hues on an easy-to-wear feminine rectangular silhouette. The tortoiseshell pattern ends on the temples, creating an on trend yet timeless look.
This temple colour blocking technique is carried over to the metal and acetate style, ‘SALLY’. Elegant and slender double laminated temples display more of the tortoiseshell print, as well as the Joules logo and signature hare on the inside of the end tips – details that can be spotted throughout the collection. A squared metal silhouette is given a modern feel with a matt black hue.
Mixed materials and bold colour blocking are once again on display, this time on the ‘CARA’ frame. Its square acetate silhouette has curves in all the right places and a double lamination offers a splash of contrasting colour. Metal temples sport acetate end tips to match the front silhouette.
Hand-drawn floral prints are what Joules has become known for and they feature prominently on the ‘JESS’ and ‘BESS’ styles. Both frames have been expertly crafted from acetate in rectangular form, but subtle design touches give them completely different looks. With its slim profile, ‘JESS’ sees floral prints wrapping around the outside of the temples, with a solid hue used for the front silhouette, while ‘BESS’ displays more heft around the temple joins and nose bridge, giving a feeling of boldness. Its floral prints reside on flat tapered temples.
Tom Joule, Founder and Chief Brand Officer of Joules, said: “Our print team work tirelessly to come up with unique patterns and designs we know our customers both old and new will love. We are delighted that they’ve been splashed over a new collection of sunglasses and optical frames – I know, that along with the little details we’ve added to these collections, they’re sure to stand out from the crowd this season.”
‘LAURA’, ‘SALLY’ and ‘JESS’ are available from January, ‘BESS’ and ‘CARA’ are in selected opticians from April.
