Geometric and topographical structures create a unique interplay between light and shadow. It’s an attractive effect in the surface that is made possible thanks to laser sintering.

 

Manufacturing the glasses using 3D printing opens up new possibilities. Structures that are inspired by geometry and topography can be realized, achieving new visual and tactile effects on the surface of the material. This interplay on the surface provides a sense of depth in the matte hues, placing the shape of the glasses on center stage.

 

Thanks to the 3D printing, its tactile structure is created right during the production process. This gives the designer the freedom to develop the structures that cannot be realized with other methods of production. Layer by layer, a ne nylon powder is melted using a precise laser. The result: An exceptionally exible and light material with a semi-matte nish and a new dimension. The color palette for the sunglasses ranges from light sand and gray tones to the deep-dark nuances of blue and violet.
