Silhouette scoops prestigious red dot design award for its TMA icon accent rings collection

Silhouette, the world leader in rimless eyewear, is delighted to announce its
ninth Red Dot Award, this time for its Titan Minimal Art Icon Accent Rings
collection. Launching earlier this year, the range scooped the award for the
product design category, over 6,300 other entrants from 59 countries around
the world.

Silhouette’s TMA Icon Accent Rings collection was remarked upon highly by
all 39 members of the Red Dot jury, who unanimously agreed on its innovative
design and exceptional quality.

The frame, which marked a new direction for the Austrian eyewear brand,
utilised Silhouette’s core, high-quality titanium materials and TMA design.
However, this time the rimless lenses were adorned with sleek, SPX® rings to
create the look of a full-rim style – worlds apart from other entrants within
the category. The line also offered a series of brand new fashion-forward lens
shapes and an array of stunning colour choices resulting in over 200 possible
combinations for wearers to choose from - perfect for creating a personalised
look.

The notable win marks the ninth time Silhouette’s Titan Minimal Art
collection has been recognised by the Red Dot Awards.

Winners of the Red Dot Design Awards are categorised and awarded for
innovation, functionality, quality and ecological compatibility. One of the
highest honours in international design, TMA Icon Accent Rings has now been
marked with this highly recognised seal.

The ceremony took place at the Design Museum in Essen on 9th July. The
evening welcomed 1,200 guests from around the world including designers,
journalists, politicians and businessmen, alongside the winners from other
product and design categories.
