Silhouette, leading Austrian eyewear brand, is ecstatic to announce that it has won a prestigious international award. Silhouette’s TMA Icon Accent Rings frame was awarded Frame of the Year at the AOP Awards 2019, which is organised by the Association of Optometrists (AOP).
Silhouette recently introduced its stunning TMA Icon Accent Rings collection. The range showcases an innovative, forward-thinking new design which fashionably combines the brand’s iconic rimless style with the look of stylish full-rim eyewear.
With a choice of six lens shapes, six ‘Accent Ring’ colours and six temple colours, the range offers over 200 possible style variations, bringing a bespoke and distinct sense of uniqueness and originality to the frames. The designs take inspiration from 2018’s most popular and celebrated colours and hues – as seen on catwalks – such as brilliant violet, forest green and delicate ice cream shades.
The AOP Awards, now in its eighth year, has become a key event in the annual optical calendar. The ceremony took place on Sunday 13th January 2019 and recognised exceptional achievement across 14 different categories. A panel of expert judges selected a shortlist of brands and frames, and the winners were decided during a vote late last year.
The Association of Optometrists (AOP) is the leading representative membership organisation for optometrists in the UK. It supports over 80% of practicing optometrists, to fulfil their professional roles to protect the nation’s eye health.
