Sarah Farrant graduated from Cardiff University and has since undertaken several additional qualifications and is a leading national expert in therapeutics and dry eye management and represents the UK as an ambassador for the Tear Film and Ocular Surface Society (TFOS). She sits on the executive board and is chair of the events committee for the BCLA and was on the council of the College of Optometrists for 12 years. She is chair of the Somerset Local Optical Committee and has been instrumental in a number of local initiatives in order to improve access to a nationally recognised level of local eye care. She is also a keen international lecturer and acts as a consultant for a number of global companies.
