The Love Eyewear Awards are back for 2024 and we cannot wait to welcome you for a busy evening of celebration and entertainment

Dedicated to celebrating the sector, the Love Eyewear Awards launched in 2020 to champion and promote eyewear amongst independent and major designers, manufacturers, and retailers. The response was phenomenal, and our panel of eyewear bloggers and stylists had an extremely difficult time judging the entries.

Timeline & Deadlines

Making a submission is quick, easy and free online; companies can nominate themselves or be nominated. Entries for all award categories will be reviewed and shortlisted by a prestigious jury of eyewear bloggers and stylists.

Entries open Tuesday 12th September 2023
Extended deadline Monday 11th December 2023
Shortlist announced Monday 29th January 2024
Awards ceremony Saturday 24th February 2024

The 2024 Judges

 

Award Categories 

New Designer 2024

This award is for new eyewear designers who have entered the industry within the last 3 years, and have made an instant impact with unique and notable frame designs. The judges will be looking for someone who can become the next big international name in frame design.

Women's Frame of the Year

The winning frame for this category will be selected from any price point and will be judged on the uniqueness of the design, the appeal to the consumer, and the design that sets the trend for the new season.

Women’s Sunglasses Frame of the Year

The award for sunglasses frame of the year will go to a design that breaks the mould, and matches comfort with practicality, this category will include sport and fashion frames, and can be from any price point.

Men's Frame of the Year

The winning frame for this category will be selected from any price point and will be judged on the uniqueness of the design, the appeal to the consumer, and the design that sets the trend for the new season.

Unisex Frame of the Year

Luxury Frame of the Year

The luxury frame award will go to the design that encapsulates what luxury means in 2024. Judges will be looking for a frame that oozes style and panache, and that lives up to the luxury price tag. The entering criteria is minimum RRP £300.

Kids Frame of the Year

This award will go to the best frame design for children. Judges will be looking for a frame that is comfortable for a child and durable, and that has been designed to appeal to a younger generation.

Sustainable Frame of the Year

This award will go to the unisex frame which is the most sustainable. Judges will be looking for a frame which has been manufactured and crafted locally and in sustainable way, and is using sustainable materials.

Eyewear Accessory of the Year

This award will be going to the accessory that can be sold by opticians that will offer new, interesting revenue streams from innovations in the market. The judges will be looking for marketable products that can add a good margin to an optical retailer. They will be looking for style and unique qualities that make an optician stand out from the crowd. They will also be looking for the sales & marketing support that goes with that product and the long term benefits to a business of stocking that accessory.

Best Innovation

NEW TO 2024! Best Innovation category looks for new and innovative products which uses new technology to help create a positive impact for consumers. From smart glasses to glasses with built in audio, cameras etc.

Eyewear Retailer of the Year

This award is open to anyone who sells eyewear. Judges will be looking for attention to the range of frames selected for sale in store, how they have approached their visual merchandising, the initiatives they have run in the community to generate interest around their frames and anything else that makes them stand out as an eyewear retailer on the high street. The awards is open for nominations as well as direct entries.

Most Engaging Practice Window

The award for an optical practice that has shown how to drive sales of eyewear through a thoughtful and interactive approach to window design. The winning store will be able to demonstrate an increase in sales as a result of their window displays. The awards is open for nominations as well as direct entries.
