High-resolution OCT in ultra-widefield and anterior imaging in your daily practice
This workshop offers a concise overview of advanced OCT technologies, including high-resolution OCT (HR-OCT), ultra-widefield OCT (UWF OCT), and anterior segment OCT (AS-OCT). Participants will compare HR-OCT with conventional imaging, focusing on enhanced axial resolution, clearer retinal layer definition, and improved detection of subtle microstructural abnormalities. Key topics include early retinal changes, photoreceptor disorders, outer retinal integrity assessment, and postoperative monitoring. The value of UWF OCT in identifying peripheral vascular and degenerative pathology will be highlighted, supporting comprehensive management of complex retinal disease.
The workshop also covers the latest developments in AS-OCT, including ultrahigh-resolution imaging, swept-source and spectral-domain systems, and emerging AS-OCTA applications.
Participants will explore clinical uses in corneal disease, glaucoma angle evaluation, cataract surgery planning, ocular surface neoplasia, and trauma.
- A case-based format will promote a full understanding of practical diagnostic applications across retinal and anterior segment disorders
