Contact lenses have the ability to improve peoples lives from the young through to teens, adults and later life. In this discussion workshop, we will examine the key elements to consider at each of these life stages, to ensure, happy, healthy and successful contact lens wear.

Learning outcome(s):

To understand the factors that impact successful contact lens wear and how they vary depending on the patient’s life stage (s.5)

To be able to recommend an appropriate lens for each patient’s needs and life stage, recognising how that will change over time (s.7)

To develop evidence-based practice for the life-long management of contact lens wearers, which proactively address lens wearing health, comfort and vision at every check up (s.5).
