Discussion workshop: The importance of evidence-based practice in myopia management
This discussion workshop will help delegates appreciate the importance and value of evidence-based practice and understand what makes a good clinical trial. This will in turn help them evaluate the efficacy in a considered manner and be able to share their learnings with children and their parents or guardians to ensure they understand their chosen myopia management solutions and have realistic expectations.

Practitioners will recognise the need to share evidence-based resources with children and their parents or guardians to ensure they understand myopia management solutions and have realistic expectations (s.2)
Practitioners will identify the importance of good quality, up-to-date evidence in the field of myopia management (s.5)
Practitioners will recognise how to evaluate myopia management efficacy using appropriate techniques (s.7).
