Lecture: Freeform empirical contact lens fitting – corneal, limbal and scleral lens design
01 Mar 2025
Mainline Instruments
This interactive lecture cover the cutting-edge applications of corneal and corneo-scleral topography with computer aided design (CAD), computer aided manufacture (CAM) in the production of freeform rigid gas permeable corneal, limbal and scleral contact lenses. Participants will explore the latest techniques for acquiring topographical data that can be used to directly manufacture the most complex lens geometries for patients with irregular corneas or surface disease.
Learning outcome(s):
Practitioners will recognise the latest techniques and applications for designing complex contact lens geometries for patients with irregular corneas or surface disease (s.5).
