This exciting session focuses on the role of the registrant in understanding the physiological and social development of paediatric patients in relation to frame and ophthalmic lens dispensing and explores ways to take a patient-centric approach when dispensing to children.
Learning outcome(s):
Registrants will have an enhanced understanding of effective communication when dispensing paediatric patients (S.4)
Registrants will further understand their responsibility to protect and safeguard patients from harm (S.11)
Registrants will further understand their responsibility to ensure patient care is at the heart of any decisions that are made (S.10)
Conduct appropriate assessments, examinations, treatments and referrals (s.7).
