This peer review session will cover the importance of accurate record keeping from a clinical defence perspective, and a review of GOC standards in regards to record keeping. Delegates will be talked through a sample of clinical records and best practice discussed.
Learning outcomes:
- Practitioners will appraise their own record-keeping practices against GOC standards and recommend improvements to ensure honesty, accountability, and professional integrity in clinical documentation
- Practitioners will be able to evaluate the quality of clinical records by examining sample case notes and identify the elements required for accurate and comprehensive documentation
