An estimated 2 billion people have presbyopia and the burden from a lack of or suboptimal correction of presbyopia on productivity, lifestyle and health is evident across the world. Whilst we can’t help our patients avoid getting older or becoming presbyopic, we can provide evidence-based advice on the best eye wear solutions available. This session explores how we can best investigate, communicate, and manage those with presbyopia to meet the demands of the modern world and enhance quality of life.

• Registrants will have an ability to communicate effectively with presbyopic patients regarding presbyopia and their eyewear options

• Registrants will understand how to best investigate and respond to dispensing complaints raised by those with presbyopia

• Registrants will understand how to show compassion and empathy for patients presenting with presbyopia

• Registrants will understand how to work collaboratively with their colleagues when advising eyewear options for patients with presbyopia
