Lecture: Drop the drops!
This session will explore how we can support patients in achieving better visual quality while reducing dependence on eye drops! We will review current and emerging technologies in dry eye disease management, including thermal pulsation, intense pulsed light (IPL), low-level red light therapy, and in-clinic lid hygiene innovations. The session will also cover advances in cataract surgery, such as digital image-guided alignment, premium intraocular lens technologies, and disruptive post-operative strategies that are transforming traditional care pathways. Through real-world experience and current evidence, participants will gain a concise overview of how these developments can be integrated into practice to enhance outcomes, improve patient satisfaction, and streamline care.
Learning outcomes:
- Practitioners will be able to identify and describe the advanced diagnostic and treatment technologies available in modern dry eye practice
- Practitioners will be able to communicate effectively post-operative strategies in cataract surgery that are reshaping traditional care pathways
