Lecture with discussion workshop
Join this session to build confidence in managing digital eye strain and presbyopia in everyday practice. The session will explore the clinical value of prescribing low adds for patients experiencing digital visual fatigue and emerging presbyopia, as well as the benefits of personalised varifocals for presbyopes at any stage. Through group discussions using case examples, this session will illustrate how tailored recommendations can improve comfort and reduce non-tolerance.
Learning outcomes:
- Practitioners will analyse case scenarios to evaluate management approaches for digital eye strain and presbyopia, including strategies for addressing non-tolerance to varifocal lenses
- Practitioners will identify the signs and symptoms of visual fatigue and explain the clinical rationale for prescribing low additions as a management strategy
- Practitioners will define presbyopia and outline the current evidence and professional responsibilities involved in recommending the most appropriate correction for their patients
