Evidence-based practice is a key driver for positive outcomes for patients, but what if some of the most practical evidence is closer than we think? This interactive session will demonstrate how everyday practice can generate valuable evidence to shape future best practice. The lecture will introduce research types that are feasible in a primary care setting and provide practical guidance on key considerations such as ethics and consent, showing how routine clinical encounters can be transformed into structured, publishable research. In the workshop element, delegates will be guided in peer-discussions to consider how the data they already collect can be used to design their own study outlines.
