This session explores the opportunities that are available to us as clinicians when we embrace further qualifications such as the Professional and Higher Cert in Glaucoma. We will discuss the benefit this brings to our patients and to our own professional development. The session features case studies discussing how patients can be managed differently through embarking on and achieving higher qualifications.

Learning outcomes: 

• Registrants will understand how to work collaboratively with others when providing care to patients with, or at risk of glaucoma

• Registrants will have an enhanced knowledge of the latest clinical research and professional guidance on glaucoma, supporting evidence-based decision-making in patient investigation and management

• Registrants will be able to modify eye care and treatment plans based on individual patient needs and preferences, without compromising patient safety
