CBTR Opticians (pronounced See Better Opticians)

Changing the optics game with engaging, funny, and informative posts. A mixture of "cultural" posts (getting to know us) and informative content. We are a small team (optom + DO) who brainstorm, create and edit all our posts ourselves. Engagement mostly on Instagram (although also posts to Facebook and TikTok), with 850 followers in just 14 months (been open since Nov 2023). We are regularly told (at optical events) that we're "all over" people's socials! As a new business owner, it's so special to be recognised for the hard work I have put into building this little brand that I love so much. We post 2-3x/week on the grid including reels, with daily stories and regular Q&As (sit down video chat) on our story with followers writing in questions. Our best performing posts have over 4k views on TikTok, 21k impressions & 270 reactions on LinkedIn. Our funny reels get the most traction on Instagram, but we try to sprinkle them with informative information too!

The feedback I've had from clients is that its refreshing to see an optician practice presenting themselves as fun, welcoming, and somewhere they’d enjoy going rather than it feeling like a chore. As so much of the highstreets become increasingly alike, independent business is more important than ever, and I believe standing out from the crowd on social media is the way forward! I guess, overall, our socials are just an unapologetic reflection of us as professionals, people, and friends. Clients know what they're getting before they walk through our door;we won't be for everyone, and that's OK, but it really helps our ideal clients find us in what can feel like a very overwhelming & crowded market.
