Throughout my years of running my business, I have invested in myself and my staff in getting trained by a social media expert.
This initially involved setting up and getting trained on face book and instagram, It then went on to the valuable part of planning ahead my monthly social media content and campaigns.
I have grown in confidence in doing videos, in fact more recently lives than videos and engaging with my customers and potential customers. It is much more personal when followers can connect with the business owner.
I have inspired other optical practices to contact me about my social media and have shared many tips and advice.
I now have a protocol that I follow when I have an eyewear event. Leading up to the event, then during the event I pay a videographer and other times a photographer to take photos & videos of the event. All this is then shared on social media. This has contributed to the enormous success of my eyewear events. I held 5 eyewear events last year, all were very successful and have contributed to the growth of my business. One to watch out for was an outdoor one on the 19/9/2021 an eyewear fashion & hair show. Footage of being at 100% Optical and Silmo are always shared on our social platforms.
I will continue to invest into training myself & staff to keep up with the latest trends on social media and the change of algorithms on the various platforms.
I have really enjoyed building my brand and connecting via social media and is one of the key tools that has helped my business grow.
