Reusing, recycling, giving new life and utility to materials is a big trend among designers. In this piece entitled RE-USE, a collaboration between Filipe Diniz and Sagui, we reused toothpaste tubes to create the fronts of the glasses and recycled acetate to fusing many colours to create the intense black of the temples. We are responsible for the future of our planet. We still have time to change.
Toothpaste tubes are collected at recycling centres in Brazil, where they are crushed and transformed into plates with a unique texture and aesthetic, which are then turned into glasses.
