Broadcaster, author and culinary icon Dame Prue Leith, DBE is delighted to announce the launch of her latest eyewear collaboration with Modstyle Eyewear, a playful and personality-led new collection of optical frames inspired by one of Prue’s greatest passions: cake.

Designed in collaboration with Modstyle Eyewear, the collection brings together classic frame silhouettes with bold colour, confident shape and joyful detailing. Each frame in the range is named after a favourite cake, including Angel, Babka, Bienenstich and more, a light-hearted nod to Prue’s lifelong love of baking and her belief that style should never take itself too seriously.

Launching in January 2026, the collection will consist of 20 beautifully coloured acetate frame designs, each available in five colourways, creating 100 unique colour options across the range and designed to suit a wide range of face shapes while offering standout design with everyday wearability.

Commenting on the collaboration, Dame Prue Leith said, “I’m beyond delighted with my new specs. They’re full of colour, beautifully designed and incredibly comfortable, funky but still classy. I regard my specs as jewellery, and I loved being able to steer the design, choose the colours and suggest the shapes. These are truly my best specs yet.”

Prue will be joined by Mark Wymond, CEO at Modstyle Eyewear, at 100% Optical, where the pair will make a special on-stage appearance discussing the collaboration, the creative process behind the collection, and the inspiration for the cake-themed designs. They will take to the stage on Sunday 1st March at 14:00 at ExceL London.

Following the on-stage talk, at 15:00 Prue will also visit the Modstyle Eyewear stand E48 where she will be available to sign copies of her cookery books.

The collection has been developed through a highly collaborative design process, with Prue closely involved at every stage. The result is one of the most vibrant and colourful eyewear collections on the market, combining confident aesthetics with considered, wearable design.

Modstyle Eyewear UK holds the license for the Prue Leith Eyewear Collection and will distribute the range throughout the UK and Ireland, with international distribution by Eyes Right Optical across Australia, New Zealand and the USA.

The collection features 20 beautifully coloured acetate frame designs, each available in five colourways, creating 100 unique colour options across the range. Frames are priced at £73 wholesale and come complete with a foldable branded case and cleaning cloth.

Currently stocked by approximately 200 independent opticians across the UK and Ireland, the collection has ambitious growth plans to triple its stockist base within the first year, reflecting strong early demand and confidence in the range.
