INFLUENCERS PRAISE MYOPIA LENSES ONE YEAR ON
London, UK (December 19, 2025) – Essilor® revisits influencer mums to follow their children’s myopia journeys and highlight the positive impact of its Essilor® Stellest® lenses.
Over the past year, Essilor has collaborated with influencers to help raise awareness around myopia and provide myopic children with Essilor® Stellest® lenses to help slow down their myopia progression.
The mums took to Instagram to share positive updates one year on, with one describing how pleased she was that her 12 year old daughter’s eyesight had stayed the same and that the lenses are “working well for her”. A second mum with a child at high risk of developing myopia described the lenses as “completely game changing for kids with short-sightedness”.
Tim Precious, General Manager UKI at EssilorLuxottica, said: “Working with influencers helps us build meaningful connections with parents and it’s fantastic to share these real-life stories to help spark conversation.
“Essilor® Stellest® lenses provide eye care practitioners with an evidence-backed solution for managing myopia in children. With robust clinical data supporting their efficacy, these lenses offer a reliable approach for helping families address the challenges of myopia, improving both short and long-term eye health outcomes.”
About Essilor® Stellest®
Essilor® Stellest® lenses are Essilor®’s best solution for fighting myopia in children* because they have two functions. First, they correct myopia, giving the wearer sharp vision. And second, they slow down its progression by positioning a volume of non-focused light in front of the retina, following the retina’s shape which sends a signal to slow down eye elongation.
Essilor® Stellest® lenses slow down myopia progression by 67% on average when worn for at least 12 hours a day, every day*2.
