Alex’s career has mainly revolved around in store glazing laboratories from humble beginnings in the 90s as a glazing and surfacing technician through various lab and store management positions mainly at Vision Express with a short jaunt to Boots opticians. Departing from in-store glazing during the late 2000s to begin training technicians and later becoming a regional manager looking after laboratories and their technicians for the north of England and Scotland, Alex has had the chance to see and be involved in larger scale manufacturing. Finding a home at Mainline Optical in 2015 enabled him to push further into machine maintenance and operation at a deeper level and has been supporting the very latest glazing technology ever since.
