Amun Sachdev

Amun is a consultant ophthalmologist specialising in cataract surgery and glaucoma. He has practices within the NHS at the Wye Valley NHS Trust and Border Health Alliance and has a private practice at The Wye Clinic in Herefordshire. Amun studied medicine at Merton College, Oxford University, and graduated with distinction in 2012. He completed specialist ophthalmology training whilst working within many of the hospitals in the West Midlands and then completed the prestigious fellowship post in Bristol for sub-specialist training in glaucoma. Over the course of his training, he has developed expertise in complex cataract surgery and undertakes different types of interventional glaucoma management, so that he can offer bespoke care to each individual patient. He is passionate about optimising patient care through promoting links between primary and secondary care and educating the next generation of optometrists and ophthalmologists.
