Garry Kousoulou
Garry is a dispensing optician, entrepreneur, author and digital marketing specialist, widely recognised for his expertise in social media within the optical industry. As founder and managing director of lovingsocialmedia, he supports independent practices in strengthening their digital presence and sustaining the high street. He played a key role in the creation of 100% Optical, now the UK’s largest optical trade exhibition, and was the first optician to receive CET points for social media, highlighting the growing importance of digital communication in professional practice. A passionate advocate for community eye health, Garry led the “Healthy Eyes Save Lives” campaign at the London New Year’s Day Parade in 2026, bringing together eye care professionals to raise awareness of eye health and colour vision deficiency, while supporting charitable fundraising initiatives. Beyond clinical practice, he serves as a lead judge for the Business Book Awards (UK head of marketing category), contributing his expertise in innovation and marketing. He has also served twice on the ABDO Ball committee.
