Jayne’s 30+ years in the optical industry includes the visionary leadership of multi-award winning British eyewear company, Eyespace. Recipient of the UK’s first ever Sustainability Award for optics and a leading advocate for eco-friendly innovation and sustainable business practice, the company’s significant market share in the UK and around the world make Jayne one of the country’s most influential figures in consumer eyewear trends and a leading authority in the optical supply chain for UK independents. A prominent Board member of the OSA, she used her specialist knowledge to found the OSA Sustainability Committee in 2020, conducting extensive research to identify the environmental impacts specific to the optical industry. The resulting initiatives, the OSA Sustainable Glossary and the OSA Green Charter (the UK’s first actionable roadmap to planet-friendly practice), will launch at 100% Optical and are predicted to set a global benchmark for sustainability.
