Karan is a specialist optometrist with a decade of experience working in both primary and secondary care. He holds a diploma in independent prescribing and higher qualification certificates in glaucoma and medical retina. He currently works at Newmedica as a specialist optometrist and optometrist engagement lead. With experience having worked in glaucoma, cataract, YAG laser and medical retina clinics, Karan is currently undertaking his masters in advanced clinical practice at UCL/Moorfields. Karan is an AOP council member and active within local optical committees in Northamptonshire and North and Northeast Lincolnshire.
