Karl is one of the founders/CEO of Advanced Ophthalmic Systems (AOS) and its parent company Sparca. AOS develop ophthalmic SaMD and utilise multiple branches of AI in their products. Karl has a passion for the optical sector, having won multiple awards and represents suppliers and technology as part of the following groups; Director OSA; CEO Opticare Innovations a subsidiary of the OSA; DICOM Task Group; General Optical Council Executive Stakeholder 2025-30; AIEG - Artificial Intelligence Expert Group
