Matthew Chan is an optometrist specialising in medical retina, uveitis, and emergency eye care, practising across Bristol Eye Hospital and independent practice. Beyond his clinical work, he is a senior lecturer at Cardiff University, where he leads the College of Optometrists-accredited higher certificate in medical retina programme and oversees a dedicated ‘teach and treat’ clinic in medical retina.
