Peter’s career in optometry has spanned 40 years. Most of this time has been spent, either full time or part time, in primary healthcare. From 1996-2008 Peter worked for Bausch & Lomb, with roles in professional services, training, and IT. Since 2008 Peter has worked part time as an independent practitioner for a variety of practices. Parallel to his optometry Peter provides consulting, coaching, and training services to the Eyecare industry. For his work within the profession Peter was a finalist for Optometrist of the Year Optician Awards in 2022 and 2024. In addition to optometry Peter holds several coaching qualifications: Accredited Professional Coach with the Association for Coaching, Accredited Resilience Practitioner, Ikigai Life Coach, and Belbin Team Roles Practitioner. Peter is an active member of Gloucestershire LOC. In his spare time Peter can be found out hiking or at his desk working on a PhD in coaching psychology.
