Professor Yit Yang

Yit is a full-time consultant ophthalmologist and retinal specialist at Royal Wolverhampton Hospital NHS Trust since 1998. He has extensive experience in general ophthalmology but also sub-specializes in conditions affecting the retina such as macular degeneration, central serous retinopathy, vascular occlusions, diabetic retinopathy, uveitis, genetic retinal problems, and complex eye conditions. Yit is very enthusiastic in clinical research and training for which he is internationally acclaimed. Currently he has published over 130 scientific papers and is actively involved with cataract surgery teaching programme for trainee ophthalmologists at New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton. Yit has been involved in academia and research as professor of ophthalmology at Aston University. He has previously held roles as clinical director of ophthalmology at the Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals NHS trust.
