Qasim Mansoor

Qasim is a highly experienced consultant ophthalmologist and clinical partner at Newmedica, with over two decades of expertise in managing both adult and paediatric eye conditions. His clinical practice spans cataract surgery, refractive surgery, and the diagnosis and treatment of macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and complex anterior segment disease. Qasim completed his medical degree in 1997 at the University of Punjab, Pakistan, before undertaking basic and higher specialist ophthalmic training in the Northern Deanery. He subsequently earned fellowships from both the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. In 2012, he was appointed as a consultant ophthalmologist at South Tees NHS Foundation Trust, where he developed extensive expertise in paediatric ophthalmology and served as co-Lead for cataract surgery. Alongside his clinical work, Qasim is actively involved in research, teaching, and workforce development.
