21st Century Cataract Surgery Training, Cybersight and Applications for Virtual Reality Around the Globe

International eye care charity Orbis is at the forefront of making innovative cataract surgery training methods accessible by using a blend of virtual reality, model eye simulation techniques and remote mentoring of surgeons as they progress from simulation to live surgery. This presentation will demonstrate how these innovations are improving access to high quality training across the globe. It will also explore how virtual reality (VR) is changing the training and education landscape in eye care, with Orbis leading the way to bring high quality cataract VR training to low-and middle-income countries.
