This peer review will encourage conversations about engaging the reluctant contact lens patient with empathy and also proactively reducing early drop-out by challenging eye care practitioners on the possible reasons our current drop-out rate isn't changing. The aim is to change behaviour around communicating contact lens features and benefits to patients to suit their lifestyle needs.
Learning outcomes:
Practitioners will be able to communicate effectively with prospective contact lens patients and existing wearers at risk of drop out
Practitioners will recognise common reasons for contact lens drop out.
