Breaking Ground: Caseco launches eco-conscious microfibre that breaks down naturally in soil.
Unlike traditional microfibres, which persist in the biosphere due to their plastic composition, Caseco’s new BIO cloths are engineered to break down naturally in the soil. The composting process is facilitated by oxygen, water and soil flora and fauna to ensure a minimal environmental footprint.
What sets Caseco’s BIO cloth apart is its certification to industry standard ISO 14855-1:2012, which confirms these innovative fibres break down 70% within a mere 45 days, and an impressive 95% in 45 weeks.
Julian Clarke, Caseco’s Managing Director expresses enthusiasm about the potential impact: “This is a major opportunity for practices to reduce their microfibre plastic impact by 95% and we’re delighted to play our part. Our BIO cloths can be personalised in full digital colour and enclosed in a kraft card wallet, adding stand-out individuality to a practice’s sustainability.”
For those eager to test this innovation, free samples of Caseco’s BIO cloth are available upon request, on 01580 890111 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Stock packs are also conveniently accessible in the lens care section on their website: caseco.co.uk.
Whilst conventional counterparts are woven from processed oil-based plastics, Caseco’s BIO cloth represents a paradigm shift in sustainability.
With a legacy spanning over 28 years Caseco has been dedicated to serving independent practices and quality retailers globally. As part of Caseco’s commitment to sustainability the company has relocated to The Eco Business Centre, Bicester – a carbon-neutral building.
Furthermore, their logistics partner, located in close proximity to their offices, operates an electric fleet. The product range also reflects Caseco’s growing emphasis on sustainability, with offerings such as British-made lens cleaning bottles made from recycled PET plastic.
