Independent supplier Dibble Optical was created in 2009 as the UK distributor for Breitfeld & Schliekert, which is more commonly known as B&S. This is a long-established German organisation, which was founded in 1927 in Rathenow.
The B&S range of products are widely accepted to be the most comprehensive within the optical industry. There are literally thousands of products available, covering almost every aspect of spectacle manufacture, repair and adjustment. Their accessories range is equally impressive, containing a comprehensive range of practice accessories, including prescription swimming goggles, prescription sports eyewear, kids eyewear, sunglasses, safety eyewear, reading glasses and a range of lens cleaning products.
The Miraflex range of paediatric frames were launched by the company exclusively in the UK and Eire in 2010 and rapidly asserted itself as a niche market leader. Sadly Miraflex Italy ceased their operation in June 2022, resulting in Dibble Optical procuring an identical product from the original Miraflex USA team under the FlexFrames brand.
In 2022 Dibble Optical became the UK exclusive supplier of two new frame ranges; FlexFrames and Dilli Dalli, further securing their status as a leading paediatric eyewear supplier.
2023 saw the company expand its product range once again when they were appointed as trade distributor for the fabulous I NEED YOU range of quality German reading glasses.
The Dibble Optical Service Centre is able to provide an efficient onsite glazing service for spectacles, sports eyewear and custom swimming goggles with a newly-installed state of the art lens edging workshop.
The company are a previous recipient of the coveted "Supplier of the Year" title, awarded by the Association of Optometrists.
Dibble Optical are a proud member of the Optical Suppliers Association (OSA).
